Cheviot Field
Originally the named the Emerald Field, Cheviot was developed by Midland and Scottish Resources before being prematurely abandoned in 1996 with a very low recovery factor. It achieved peak oil rates of 22 mbd but water breakthrough was faster than anticipated due to sub-optimal positioning of wells.
It consists of high quality Jurassic Emerald sandstone with 21-23 API oil overlying a fractured basement.
Field development evaluation is ongoing in preparation for an FDP submission.
